ENGL Releases Imaging Toolkit 12

| May 11, 2022

ENGL announced on Friday April 8th, 2022 that Imaging Toolkit 12 is available for download.  There are some very important changes in this release including the unique ENGL Image Service and the cloud-based ENGL Monitor Service. Keep reading for more information on these exciting features!

ENGL Image Service offers Imaging Toolkit 12 customers to use Build Console to download pre-built Windows 10 and 11 64-bit base images, or you can request a custom image build. Base images are available in Linus/ZMG, WinPE/ZMG and WinPE/WIM formats.  With the ENGL Image Service, a reference machine is no longer required and all ZMG images are captures using a supported version of ZENworks.

ENGL Monitor Service is cloud-based and available to all Imaging Toolkit 12 customers with internet access on the provided machines. By using Build Console, customers will be able to configure projects and imaging integration using the ENGL Monitor Service. Status updates and Imaging Toolkit log Files will be securely sent to the Monitor Service.  Please note that user access to Monitor Service must be granted by your ENGL license contact or by ENGL technical.

Also, ENGL has decided to no longer support Windows 7, 8, and Server OS deployments. These changes allowed ENGL to simplify their testing process and deliver product updates more quickly.

As seen in previous ENGL updates, there are now Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise subscription levels. Imaging Toolkit 11.x licenses with active maintenance will be ported to a matching subscription level.
